I always imagined on my wedding day to have the best man say a toast, my father make a toast, and uncle and then of course family on my fiance's side. Is that like way too much? Most of the weddings I've been to usually just the best man toasts. I think toasts are so special because they're so sincere. So I want alot!!!!
So what does everyone else think. Do you think if like 5 people toast at my wedding that's ok, or too much?

I agree with you. I hope more than a few toasts is not untasteful because I'm sure it will be more than the best man and my dad that want to speak!

Good question...I think its usually the Best man and sometimes now the Maid of Honor as well.
Not sure...I may have a few too many ppl wanting to toast at my wedding also.

Most weddings the toast is given by the best man and the maid of honor. I think it would be a good idea to have your dad and uncle and whoever you want to make a toast to make their toasts at the rehearsal dinner.

We normally have the parents speak during the rehearsal dinner. The MOH and the BM on the actual reception itself.
There was a wedding though that had a videocam set-up for a toast corner. Anyone who wanted to speak just turned on the cam and spoke. That way...the couple had lots and lots of toasts.

I would think that you would not want more than 2 or 3 people toasting at your wedding. After so many speeches, people could easily get bored and want to move forward with the reception.

The videocam idea is excellent!! I wish I would have thought of that for my wedding. I do think that more than four or five toasts is a tad much.

I love the videocam idea too. What a great way for the guests to be able to toast the couple without taking time from the reception. This also would be such a nice momento for the couple to keep.

It is inexpensive too! This does not have to be professionally done. Just have someone closely monitor it.
Ya know...some guests might have a tad too much to drink and press rewind instead of record hahahaha
