I agree, instead of sending out an evite I am planning on using this website to announce my up coming housewarming party. My friends, family and coworkers can view my shopping list and if they intend to give me presents it's even better

Eco-friendly gifts for Mom

We sell and buy our handmade, eco-friend gifts on Etsy.com. The photos are of one of our earring and card sets, made with upcycled materials, and an iPod cover we made from eco-felt and upcycled thread (It came out of one of my old jackets).

Our personal website is http://www.eatsbeadsandcards.etsy.com, where you can get eco-friendly and handmade cards, jewellery, iPod covers etc. But if you're looking for toiletries, handmade clothes, and other cool stuff, Etsy has a lot of eco-concious sellers.
If you do decide to buy something from us at Eats, Beads and Cards, we'd be happy to give you a 10% discount off of your total purchase! Just mention the code MR001 when you buy!
Happy Browsing!!

The Gap has some really cute bootcut and straight-leg jeans and they are on sale! Their jeans always last me a few years.

Hey, once I discovered this whole gift registry business, it has made gift giving & recieving so much easier. I think starting a retirement registry is a good idea, heck start one for any occasion you'll be getting gifts. Sometimes people really don't know what to get you, so you're doing yourself and them a favor.

I can't believe Michael Jackason has died! I went to one of his concerts when I was a little girl. I'm going to put all Michael Jackson memorabilia and records on my registry. RIP Michael, you will truly be missed

How about organic skin care? There are all these new brands for skin exfoliation, cleansing, and anti-aging that are free of harmful chemicals and feel invigorating. I don't know of any mom that would'nt like a nice organic skin care set, even mom's who don't wear makeup can even be comfortable using them, because it's part of the daily facial regimen.

JEANS LOVERS!!!

Sometimes jeans are so hard to buy, with so many different brands having sizes running too small or too big, it can be a real hassel. With a little help from http://myregistry.com stores we like section it makes it easy to find some good stores that have decent jeans. I find that nordstrom, J.Crew, and American Eagle outfitters have true to size jeans.
Take a look here http://www.myregistry.com/Stores/Stores-we-like-Apparel-Accessories.html at some of the more reliable shops for jeans.

I set up a puppy fund on my registry. Full bred cuties can get pricey! So far I have $300 in contributions, some from me, when I have extra cash, and some from my past birthday! Wish me luck I'll get my little pup soon! I want a beagle!

I didn't read the book , but the movie was terrible. If you're telling me the movie was better than the book, then I didn't miss anything.

Shawn White Snowboarding Road Trip for the Wii

The Shawm White Snowboarding Wii game is so cool. At first its a little tricky, but what games arent? After about a half an hour you'll get it going good. My nephew loves this game and he's only 4! It helps you figure out how to turn and stear yourself on a snowboard, enough to give me a little extra confidence when I actually go on the slopes.
For sure this game makes a good birthday present for anyone with a wii.

Can't say I'm a fan of soap operas (even though my life is one) but I am guilty of loving shows like The Hills, Real World, etc. I don't know which is worse!

I've read it -- not very good! Though I hear it's better than the movie. There are a series of them and the first book is the best of them all, though I haven't completed the series. If you're into fantasy then check it out, but I was disappointed in it.

have never had a Valentine and this year, my friend and I have agreed to exchange Valentine's Day gifts. I think it's cute because we're both single moms.
Do you exchange gifts with your friends if you're a single mother or Valentine-less? What are you getting your boyfriend/husband for V-Day... or girlfriend/wife? edited by YoungMama21 on 2/13/2009

Everywhere I go people talk about twilight... it's like an epidemic. Now I'm sure this book must be cool... after all, it involves vampires :o).
Anyway, my best friend is pressuring me to read it, but I don't know if I want to get sucked in.
Who's read it and can actually say if it's a good read or not? Who hasn't and has no desire to?

Yoga Time!
YoungMama21 Posts 6

I'm big into weight-lifting and walking/jogging around the block or on the Brooklyn Bridge.
But lately, I've found yoga to be very relaxing... and I feel a difference immediately! It's weird because I never thought I'd like it because I thought I'd fall asleep, but I got a DVD by Rodney Lee and he does some amazing workouts. They're easy to do and you feel like you got a nice stretch and mini-workout. Also, "The Gift of Yoga" is good DVD, too.
Do you like to do yoga, either at home or at a yoga studio? Who's your favorite guru?
