I can not get my boyfriend to open a registry and he never gives me any hints either when it comes to his birthday or the holidays!!!!!!!!
I finally get him in front of a computer and he's like uhhhhh and doesn't make one. Does anyone know what I could tell him or do to make him want to open a registry????
It's a concern for me because he's soooooo hard to buy for and he practically has everything he wants anyway, being a minimalist and all.
Thanks for your help!

I know the feeling. Even though he has everything, he still has to be interested in having something. Maybe a cash gift fund for a vacation or sports tickets may catch his interest?

My husband is also impossible to buy gifts for. I think that I have him convinced to open up his own registry this year for the holidays. He used mine last year and really got me a great gift- (Prada handbag) and was so happy that the whole process was easy, I think that got him.
All guys need registries. They are impossible to buy for. If you know they want golf clubs, you don't dare buy them because but it can't be just any golf clubs. They may like their scotch or cigars, but it has to be just the one that they like. It is hard to keep track of all this stuff.... After I wrack my brainds over my husband, then I have to deal with my dad and my brother and it wears me out.

Thanks for the advice... I'll just have to convince him even more and mention the whole cash gift fund thing. The cash fund is so easy and is such a straight forward gift that he can't ever be disappointed with because he can then buy ANYTHING he wants. He won't have to search the web for gifts, all he has to do is activate it. Awesome!
Thanks so much

My BF is just the same....Hard to buy for. He knows exactly the brand, version and style for items thats he wants. so unless he adds it to his registry I have no clue. I'm not so good with the gadgets and guy stuff. I finally was able to get my BF to open a registry and couldnt feel more relieved during the holidays. Because the items he wants are usually pricey, I would rather no exactly what it is he wants than spend money on the wrong thing.
Once he realizes he gets what he wants by simply adding it to his registry he will Love it!!

I try to listen for things my husband mentions in conversations, then I just create a registry for him. I spread the word around to our other married freinds, since their wives are doing the shopping, anyway!

It is always hard to figure out what to get guys as gifts. I usually start shopping for my husband really early. When he mentions something he might like, I usually go out and buy it. Other than that I always find Gift Cards to restuarants we enjoy make a nice gift for him and me.

I just plan on telling mine not to whine when he doesn't get what he wants and for his B-day I am buying him a pack of socks :-) I bet he'll think twice about not signing up bow:-)
