The last thing on my mind was looking good in hospital. How could anyone look good when they feel like they have had the stuffing knocked out of them?

I always have my make up bag with me. I figure I can sit in bed and put on my makeup with no problems at all, and plan to do so!

I never worried to much about what I wore as long as I had something comfortable on. However, makeup I made sure to pack. You know every one of your loved ones is going to want a picture so you have to come prepared :-)

I saw this website in the Baby Venders section of MyRegistry called Sweetlullabies.com. They are selling cool maternity/hospital gowns in great fabrics like this That look really comfortable and chic. Has anyone ever bought anything from their website? Would love to know if they really look as good on as they do on the website.

I remember one new mom that was in the hospital at the same time I was, which cured me of being casual about my appearance.
Her hair was matted in the back from being in bed, she smelled bad, and her nightgown was just sloppy.
I never want to be seen like that!

Reminded me of my husband during the three times that I gave birth. He would always, always bring my vanity kit together with my baby bag. LOL. It was because of the incident when I gave birth for the first time, when I woke up after the delivery, after seeing my baby, I turned to my husband and said " Where's my hairbrush?" LOL! He said, "Good thing I bought your kit". He knows how vain I am, he considers it a prime necessity! LOL

This topic makes me laugh because the last thing I was thinking about was how I looked! You just brought a new life into the world and no cute outfit or amount of makeup will EVER be as natural and as beautiful as that!

I tried to look presentable. Made sure my hair looked okay, and that was about it. No makeup or anything. As long as you're not looking embarrasing, then you should be okay.

When I was due my 2nd son a coupe of months ago I had everything matching loads of nice things to make me feel good and look good and I never got to wear or use any of them, I had my son 2 weeks early and only got to stay in hospital for 24 hours so all my nice things came home.

I love it! I think that it is important to look good and take care of yourself after the delivery. You feel so much better if you look good.
