Now when someone registers for gifts online, you have the opportunity to enjoy the online shopping experience from your own home without the hassles of waiting long lines at the checkout counter or feeling limited by store hours. When you shop on our ultimate online gift registry, you will find that all items are organized and beautifully displayed for your viewing pleasure. In addition, MyRegistry.com ensures that each item has a gift title and price along with the quantity desired by the registry holder. Once you decide which present you would like to buy or browse, we will automatically connect you to the store where you can complete the purchase transaction. When you go to purchase an item using our service, you are certain you are getting the perfect gift for your friend or family's special occasion.

A member's gift list is a beautiful display of everything they desire to have. Each gift has its own image, price, quantity and the member's notes, if added. You may also view the gift list by categories if they were created by the member for this purpose. To buy a present for a registry member, first locate the account by using our 'Find a Registry' feature (on the top left corner of the homepage). Once you are directed to the member's registry, you will have access to photos, personal and event information. To view the member's gift list, click the 'Gift List' tab and enter your name and email address, (one time requirement). MyRegistry.com does not share personal information with third parties or spam. We only require visitor's information to help track and update orders that are placed through our service.

Just by a simple click of a button, our service will automatically direct you the store that sells the item. Once you are directed the store, you will have the option to either view the gift or complete the purchase transaction. If you buy the item, you will receive a confirmation email from the store stating that your purchase transaction was successful. Whether you decide to buy the present or not, once you close the store’s website window you will see behind it a page where MyRegistry.com asks you to report if the gift was purchased or not. You will have several options to choose from. If you select one of the ‘No’ options and click 'Submit', that gift will become available again on the registry. If you select one of the ‘Yes’ options, you will have the option to hide your name from the registry holder (if you intend to surprise them) and include the quantity purchased, if more than one of the same item was purchased. Once the 'Submit' button is clicked, that gift will become unavailable for others to buy. It is important that you report if you bought the gift or not to keep the registry up-to-date.

Even if you accidentally mark an item as purchased or change your mind about the purchase, you will have the option to restore the item back to the registry when you go back to it. When an item is marked as purchased, our members are notified (if they choose that option) via email or by cell phone text messaging (SMS Gift Alert Service) that a present was bought for them. If you choose to hide your name, the member will still see which gift was bought, but the gift- giver's name will be unavailable to them. As a guest, you will receive an email from MyRegistry.com, thanking you for using our service and buying a present from our member's registry.

Finally, if you decide to go to the physical store to purchase the same item displayed on the registry, you still need to mark that present as purchased to avoid duplicate purchasing. To mark a gift as purchased, even after you already bought the item, simply go to the registry gift list and click the 'Buy Gift' button of the item you would like marked. Once you are directed to the store website, immediately close that website window and you will see a page that asks if you purchased the gift or not. Select any of the 'Yes' options to make that item unavailable for other guests to purchase.
